lou versace


lou versace lives in los angeles with his second wife, vivienne. he has two grown sons (marco and nico) by his first marriage, who both live and work in hamburg, germany. born in new york city in 1940, he was educated in catholic grammer schools, a public high school in new jersey, and then at princeton and harvard before coming to california to berkeley in 1963. he was an english teacher at beverly hills high school for twenty years (from 1966-1986). currently, he is semi-retired and teaching part-time at santa monica and west los angeles junior colleges while pursuing his writing career. mr. versace has written a novel (barone), a stage play (tennessee: the kindness of strangers). this is his first book of poems. he is 62 years old.
